Present: Duane Wood, Tom Emery, Anthony Karhuff, Darlene Parks, Tina Braman, Mikyla Sweet, Bev Vandenberg, Sean Gifford, Mark Fraser, Frances Griffith, Mark Fulks, Troy Parmalee, Kelly Schmidt.

The Annual Meeting was opened at 7:01 pm with the pledge to the flag.

The March 4, 2020 agenda was approved. Parmalee moved; Schmidt seconded. All ayes Carried.
The March 6, 2019 Annual Meeting & Budget Hearing Minutes were approved. Parmalee moved; Griffith seconded. All ayes Carried.

The Supervisor gave his year end report. Perry Township is in good financial standing and the board continues to work very well together and continues to provide excellent service for the residents of Perry Township.
During this last year consumers energy installed the 37 LED lights and steel poles along Lansing Rd at our DDA district and the bill was paid. A dedication was conducted at the location honoring our former Supervisor, Sid Grinnell with several family members present as well as many leaders from the community.
We also completed all the road projects which were approved by the Township Board. The total road work completed totaled $147,000 with the Road Commission contribution of $25,000 for the year.
The annual budget was $542,000 and we were under budget for the year. The 2019 Perry Township audit was conducted and deemed acceptable.

Salary Resolutions: The resolution as acted upon by the Township Board, to increase the salary of the Supervisor to $19,100. Parmalee moved; Griffith seconded. Ayes by hand vote carried. One opposed. Increase the Clerk to $19,100 Fraser moved; Wood seconded. Ayes by hand vote carried. None opposed. Increase the salary of the Treasurer to $19,100. Schmidt moved; Fraser seconded. Ayes by hand vote carried. None opposed.

The Annual Meeting adjourned at 7:08pm.

The Budget Hearing was opened at 7:09pm.

Parmalee explained the 2020-2021 budgets.

The DDA adopted their budget at the January meeting. The State shared revenue has increased slightly. Property taxes are up slightly. There was an increase in the Election budget for 2020 elections. There was an increase in wages for the supervisor, clerk, treasurer, trustees, deputies, and custodian. All other budgets were very similar to last years.

The Budget Hearing was opened to public comments hearing none. Parmalee moved; Griffith seconded to close the hearing at 7:14pm.

The 2020-2021 general fund and other budgets were approved with 1 mill as reduced by the Headlee Role Back to be levied. Parmalee moved; Fraser seconded. Roll Call: Parmalee, Fulks, Fraser, Griffith, Schmidt. All ayes Carried. None opposed.

The Budget Hearing was adjourned at 7:15 pm. Parmalee moved; Griffith seconded. Carried.
