The meeting opened with the pledge to the flag and all board members were present.
Hammond moved, second by Parmalee to approve the agenda. Carried
Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to approve the Nov. minutes. Carried
Dep. Schmidt reported there were 215 incidents in the township and 95 were traffic stops.
Chief Hubbard reported 140 calls in Oct. and 21 were for Perry Twp. The new truck in Vernon is doing well. He is working on the budget. Burns & Vernon townships have representative on the SSESA board now.
There was one PA 116-farmland agreement and one variance in zoning.
S. Michalek moved, second by P. Michalek to approve the financial statement and pay the bills. All ayes
Michalek moved, second by Parmalee to send attorney Smith to the MTA legal Inst. at the convention. Carried
There will be some ditching done in the spring at Ruppert/Ellsworth Rd. drain.
DeLau Concrete: A letter was received from Theresa DeLau concerning the cemetery building. After discussion, Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to have the attorney draft a letter to the DeLau’s with a proposal of a promissory note for the balance on default and draft a letter to the State licensing agency explaining what happened. All ayes. It was suggested that in the future we have performance bonds for building at the township.
There will be a Dec. 9th Board of Review at 8 am for corrections of clerical errors.
Parmalee moved, second by Michalek to replace 5 lights at the township hall. They should be energy efficient florescent lights and the cost to not exceed $750. All ayes
Next year is the year to appoint Board of Review members and 2 DDA members. People may send letters of interest to the Clerk by the Jan.7th meeting.
Dori Boertman has resigned from the Independent and introduced Beth Wehman, who is taking her place as the township correspondent.
