Board present: Sidney Grinnell, Supervisor; Sandra Michalek, Clerk; Troy Parmalee, Treasurer; Patsy Force & Beth Andrus, Trustees

The meeting opened with the pledge to the flag.
Moved by Parmalee, second by Michalek to approve the agenda.  Carried
Parmalee moved, second by Andrus to approve Feb. 7 & 19 minutes with addition of adding all seal coating to the road projects discussed at the Feb. 17th  budget work session.  Carried
Reports: Dep. Schmidt reported 215 incidents in the township with 104 traffic stops.
No DDA or SSESA report.  4 trailer permits in zoning.

Michalek moved, second by Grinnell to approve the financial statement and pay the bills.  All ayes
Unfinished business:
Roads:  All projects will be done except tree removal at this time.  Paving Morrice Rd. was discussed, but is very expensive.  We may have to save to do that again.
Duct & furnace cleaning at township hall: 3 bids at $1400; $1795; & $3,000.  Parmalee moved, second by Force to accept the bid from A-1 Furnace & Duct Cleaning for $1400.  All ayes
Andrus moved, second by Force to approve the cemetery contract for M. R. Green & sons at a cost of $625 per month for regular cemetery work, plus opening & closings, & foundations. All ayes 
Parmalee moved, second by Michalek  to change the Clifford Fields special assessment to $36.50 per lot per year due to the rising cost of street lighting.  This is less than the 10% allowed by the assessment. All ayes

Parmalee moved, second by Michalek to purchase a Dell computer & printer for the Supervisor at a cost of $508 and a printer for Dep. Treas. at a cost of $159.  All ayes
Parmalee moved, second by Grinnell to spend up to $400 for a file cabinet for the Assessor.  All ayes
Lawn mowing bids for the cemetery, township hall, & 2 lots on Bennett Drive will be available at the hall and due by Apr. 2.  Bid will be published in the Ad Visor.

Parmalee moved, second by Grinnell to raise the deputies & custodian wages by 50 cents an hour.  All ayes
Michalek moved, second by Parmalee to set the first Wed. of every month at 7:00 pm as our regular meeting date.  Carried.  Parmalee moved, second by Michalek to name Chemical, National City, Fifth Third, & H & R Block as depositories.  Carried

Parmalee moved, second by Grinnell to purchase large rug for tax collection time and not to exceed $100. All ayes
Comm. Pavlica explained the 911 fee structure for all phones.  Rate is $1.20 per month and includes cell phones.  Received a grant for 800-megahertz radios for county.  Courthouse security discussed.  Comm. Dev. survey also discussed.
Andrus reported she and Dan Munro will meet with 2 members from Morrice Village & Perry City to form an ad hoc committee to research a walking path between the two municipalities.  There may be grant money available for this project.
Parmalee moved, second by Michalek to send the Supervisor to the MAPS conference at a cost of $80.  All ayes
Supervisor reported on the HLS-Cam class he attended.  There will be an assessment with the township for safety by Homeland Security dept. in Corunna.
Discussed zoning meeting and answered questions posed by the Commissioners.
There will be an energy assessment on the township hall conducted by Consumer’s Energy.  There is no cost to this.
Board of Review had their organizational meeting.  $8 million in SEV has been cut in the township.
DDA & Planning Commission members whose terms expire will be appointed in April. Parmalee moved, second by  Michalek to adjourn.  Carried
