The Supervisor opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag. All present at roll call.
Parmalee moved, second by Andrus to approve the agenda. Carried

Dep. Schmidt reported 190 incidents in the township with 80 being traffic stops.
Zoning: Iron plant in the city of Perry; 1 violation; no building permits.

Correspondence: Local audit report: Morrice Village letter about the Morrice Senior Center meeting June 12th; RESD Youth program; & VFW Memorial Day parade;
Michalek moved, second by Parmalee to approve the Veteran’s mandatory funding for healthcare benefits resolution. All ayes
Schweikert explained the process for lot splits, application, flow chart, and re-divisions. The Road Commission will no longer sign off on land divisions until a road has been built. We are in agreement with them. The Assessor will report the lot splits to the board monthly.
At the recommendation of our attorney, Parmalee moved, second by Grinnell to give DeLau concrete 30 days to recommence work on the Cemetery Building and work must be completed within 20 days once started. If these terms are not completed, then Perry Township will re-bid the project and DeLau Concrete will be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the Township minus what is still owed. This does not effect or change the ongoing fraud case against DeLau Concrete being handled by the Shiawassee County Prosecutor’s Office. All ayes
Cemetery Committee will meet with Sexton to discuss proposals for a pole barn at the Cemetery.
Comm. Pavlica said some cemeteries have a cemetery board. County has posted the position of Comm. Dev. director with emphasis on planning and to do building permits. An interview committee will be set up for this position. Approved a digital camera & computer for passports. County adopted the Veteran’s resolution. Jaime is a candidate for re-election of Co. Commissioner. Manatron & BS & A representatives are talking.
Horvath updated the board on what the SEDP is doing. The energy audit tries to find ways to reduce energy costs. There is an EPA grant – no cash match that assesses property that could be Brownfield property. Anderson Bros. building is getting close to completion. Custom Cast Stone: business is picking up.
Parmalee moved, second by Grinell to purchase printers for the Clerk & Treasurer and a barcode scanner to Dep. Treasurer for a total of $698.98 to be taken from Gen. Gov. equipment. All ayes
Grinnell has been working on the energy audit by Consumer’s Energy.
Parmalee moved, second by Michalek to send any board member to the Roads & Parks & Recreation seminar sponsored by MTA. All ayes
Parmalee moved, second by Force to give $1,000 to Morrice for fireworks for the Fourth of July celebration. All ayes
The Supervisor will check on spraying along Delaney Rd. between Ellsworth & Beard roads.
