The Supervisor called the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag.
Parmalee moved second by S. Michalek to approve the agenda. Carried
Hammond moved, second by P. Michalek to approve the Oct. minutes. Carried
Comm. Pavlica reported the County Commissioners would levy .05 mills for the Veteran’s Fund next year. County Budget hearing is Nov. 19th. Extension office was put back in the budget for a small amount to keep the 4-H program funded. County has been asked to possibly regulate pawnshops by Perry City.
Zoning: There were 2 building permits; one for a pole barn & one for a business.
188 calls were reported by the Sheriff’s Dept.: 18 were car/deer and 66 were traffic stops. One deputy is assigned to work the Secondary Road System. Traffic enforcement, traffic crash investigation, and emergency calls are his primary responsibilities.
SSESA: Perry Township had 20 runs in Sept. making a total of 221 runs for the year in the township. Total yearly runs of all units so far is 1,1 36.
Michalek moved, second by Grinnell to approve the financial statement and pay the bills. All ayes.
Hammond moved, second by P. Michalek to enter into a contract with C2AE firm for a 5-year recreation master plan at a cost of $6,500. All ayes
Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to apply for a U.S. Dept. of Energy grant for updating the efficiency of the township hall. C@AE will take care of the application. All ayes. The grant is for $14,000 with an 80-90% matching grant. We can use the money we have already spent on windows as our matching share.
Hammond moved, second by P. Michalek to hold 10% of the tree removal cost on Ruess Rd. until the burning is completed. All ayes
Hammond moved, second by S. Michalek to purchase 500 pens for a promotional item at a cost of 83 cents per pen. All ayes
S. Michalek moved, second by Hammond to extend the contract of Bob Freed for snow removal at the cemetery & township hall at a rate of $40 per hour. All ayes
DDA had suggested a survey for incomes so they may apply for grants. It was decided to wait until after the 2010 census as that information would be available then.
Drain at large cost for 2009 is $5,199.21
Walt & Cyndy Saxton has 2 trees he would like to donate to the township hall to be planted in memory of Frances Michalek on behalf of the Planning Commission. They are small trees right now and they will be moved to the hall.
A list of repairs for the township hall was presented. Bids will be secured for projects.

The Supervisor presented a list of concerns from the City of Perry regarding the Water/Sewer system and the proposed park. Members will discuss later.
