Present: Sidney Grinnell; Sandra Michalek; Troy Parmalee; Susan Hammond & Peggy Michalek, Trustees

 Guests: Peter Stackpole; Kevin Feuka; Comm. Jaime Pavlica; Steve Schweikert, Assessor; Elizabeth Wehman

The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag.  All board members were present.

Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to approve the agenda.  Carried

Hammond moved, second by Parmalee to approve the Sept. minutes.  Carried

SSESA had 33 runs in the township last month and 201 total for the year.  Total runs for all municipalities this year have been 1026.

Comm. Pavlica: Lot split issue (A1, A1/2, & A2 size) has gone to Co., Planning for re-write. Have tough decisions for the 2010 budget they are working on.  Approved contracts with Health Dept. and Road Commission for renting space for unclaimed property.  Renewed Pete Preston Service contract for zoning.  There is an opening on County Zoning Board of Appeals.

Michalek moved, second by Hammond to approve the financial statement & pay the bills.  All ayes.

Srackpole was present to ask for approval of a special use permit for a dog-boarding kennel.  Parmalee moved, second by P. Michalek to concur with the Planning Commission and recommend to the County approval of the special use permit.  All ayes

Rec. Plan: Hammond read a letter from Perry City & P. Michalek read one from Morrice Village in favor of our planning for a park.  Clerk was asked to send a letter to each unit expressing thanks for their support.  Parmalee moved second by Hammond to approve hiring C2AE to draw an agreement for a contract for the creation of a Recreation Plan.  All ayes.  Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to have Hammond & P. Michalek continue to be on the rec. plan committee along with 2 Planning Commission members and 2 township residents.  Carried

Discussion on the Stiff property:  Mr. Banker has not completed the work and will be notified to do so.

Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to send board members, Assessor, & spouses to the MTA chapter annual dinner at a cost of $10.50 per person.  All ayes

S. Michalek moved, second by P. Michalek to send board members, deputies, attorney, & Assessor to the MTA convention in January and pay expenses.   The Supervisor will go one extra day for classes.  All ayes

Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to send Clerk, Dep. Clerk, & Sexton to the MTA cemetery seminar in Mt. Pleasant in Nov.  All ayes

Gifts for taxpayers tabled until we get estimate of how many come to off ice to pay taxes.

Braden Rd. culvert is completed.  Supervisor is working on 2010 road projects.

Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to adjourn.  Carried
