The meeting & public Hearing were opened at 7:00 pm with the pledge to the flag. All Board members were present.
There was one public comment from Kevin Feuka who was in favor of the assessment. The formula for paying the $45 per household fee is $35 from each household and $10 per household from the township general fund. S. Michalek moved, second by Parmalee to approve the ambulance resolution creating the special assessment district. All ayes. The assessment roll was on display for the public.
The hearing was closed at 7:06 pm and the regular meeting began.

SSESA: there were 27 runs in Perry Township and 170 runs to date this year.
DDA: Approved paying for the lighting through the industrial park.
Zoning: 2 building permits; 1 new business; Lansing Ice & Fuel Sp. Use Permit.
Dep. Lawson reported that people should keep cars, homes, & garages locked, as there are a lot of B & E’s lately. He also suggested that motion lights are very good.
S. Michalek moved, second by Grinnell to approve the financial statement and pay the bills. All ayes
Audit: L. Chant went over the audit with the board. There was a clean opinion and the township is in very good financial standing. P. Michalek moved, second by Hammond to accept the audit report as presented. All ayes
Comm. Pavlica reported the household hazardous waste program & tire collection was successful. There is a lot split controversy at the County. Furlough hours have started at the County with the exception of the Sheriff’s Dept.
O’Berry is done at the cemetery with the exception of burning the trees and a few more stones. Parmalee moved second by Grinnell to pay O’Berry his bid less 10% until the job is complete. All ayes.
Bids for cemetery road: Hammond moved, second by Parmalee to award bid of $16, 042 to Smith Sand & Gravel. All ayes
Lansing Ice & Fuel: Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to concur with the Planning Commission and recommend approval of SPU & site plan for another 30,000 gal. propane tank on their site providing they meet the conditions set forth by the governmental agencies. All ayes
Spaulding Drain: Parmalee moved, second by P. Michalek to approve the resolution to clean the Spaulding Drain. All ayes
Hammond moved, second by P. Michalek to approve the L-4029 millage request to be sent to the County. All ayes
Supervisor reported on road spraying and culvert repair on Braden Rd.
There is a drain apportionment meeting on Beard Drain tomorrow.
Grinnell asked the board to approve a request for release of some of his pension money so he can pay doctor bills. Hammond moved, second by Parmalee to approve drawing $5,000 from the Supervisor’s pension plan. All ayes
Recreation plan was tabled until next month hoping to hear from Perry City & Morrice Village.
