2021 March Board of Review Meeting Schedule via Zoom

2021 MARCH BOARD OF REVIEW
MEETING SCHEDULE

Perry Township, Shiawassee County

 The Perry Township Board of Review for March 2021 will be held by electronic remote access, unless by the dates of the March Board of Review meetings it becomes lawful under state agency rules for an indoor in-person public meeting to be held. Electronic remote access, in accordance with Michigan law, will be implemented in response to COVID-19 social distancing requirements and limitations on the number of individuals in an indoor public gathering.

If in-person public meetings become a lawful option, then the meeting will be held both in person at the Perry Township Hall, 2770 W. Ellsworth Rd, Perry and via electronic remote access.

The public may participate in the meeting through electronic remote access via Zoom access (or Teams, Go to Meeting, … insert correct one for township) by computer, smart phone/device using the following link:

The township will post the information confirming whether the March BOR will meet in person on its notice (window and doors), and the township’s website.

The Perry Township March Board of Review will meet on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, March 2, 2021, 8:30am = Organizational Meeting
  • Monday, March 8, 2021, 9am-3pm= Appeal Hearing
  • Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 3pm-9pm= Appeal Hearing

The Board of Review will meet as many more days as deemed necessary to hear questions, protests, and to equalize the 2021 assessments. By board resolution, taxpayers are able to protest by letter, sent to Perry Township 2770 W. Ellsworth Rd, Perry, MI 48872 or supervisor@perrytownship-mi.us, provided protest is received prior to March 10, 2021.

The February 3, 2021 Perry Township Board meeting will be held via Zoom at 7:00 pm due to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) “Gatherings and Face Mask Order” restrictions currently in effect.

All members of the public are welcome to participate in the zoom meeting. There will be two way audio and/or video communications available. The public will be able to listen to all discussion by Board members and will be permitted to speak for up to 5 minutes during the public comment sections of the agenda. Upon entering the zoom meeting the participant must declare the following:

  1. State your name to participate in public comment and for meeting minute reporting.
  2. Announce that you are participating remotely, except for military absence.
  3. Identify the county, city, township, or village and state from which you are attending remotely.

PERRY TOWNSHIP WILL HOLD ITS WINTER BOARD OF REVIEW ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2020 AT 9:00AM AT THE ASSESSOR’S OFFICE AT PERRY TOWNSHIP HALL 2770 ELSWORTH RD PERRY, MI 48872 via ZOOM.

THERE WILL BE NO HEARINGS AT THIS MEETING. WE WILL MEET ONLY TO REVIEW ANY CLERICAL OR QUALIFIED ERRORS (mcl 211.53B) OR MUTUAL MISTAKES OF FACT ON ASSESSMENTS ROLLS.
