To the Qualified Electors of Perry Township and Locke Township living in the Perry School District,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, a Special Election for Morrice Area Schools will be held on:

AUGUST 8, 2023

The POLLS of said election will be open from 7:00am until 8:00 pm at Perry Township 2770 W. Ellsworth Rd., Perry, MI 48872 on said day to decide the following General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bond Proposal question:

Shall Morrice Area Schools, Shiawassee, Livingston and Ingham Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Seven Million Ten Thousand Dollars ($7,010,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefor, for the purpose of:

remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, and equipping and re-equipping school buildings; acquiring and installing instructional technology in school buildings; and preparing, developing, improving, and equipping playgrounds, athletic fields and facilities, and sites?

Absentee applications and ballots are available through Perry Township. Voters may also call the Michigan Relay Center TDD# 1-800-649-3777.

Your local Township Clerk’s office will be open on the weekend prior to the election.

Perry Township: August 5 & 6, 8am-12:00pm and Monday Aug. 7, 9am-4pm for ballot requests.

Locke Township: August 5 from 9am-5pm for ballot for registration only. You will then be directed to vote at Perry Township with a registration receipt.

Perry Township is accessible for voters with disabilities. Arrangements for obtaining alternative formats (audio and Braille) of voting instructions, can be made by contacting the clerk in advance.
